The AS888 float switch from JOHNSON protects electric pumps, is fully automatic and universally compatible. The mechanism is controlled by an internal ball. When the ball is still, the switch remains in the OFF position. As the water level rises, the ball begins to move and the float switch automatically switches on the bilge pump. The switch should always be mounted parallel to the bottom of the bilge, with the float pointing directly to the back. Made of corrosion-resistant materials. The Bilge Alert system from JOHNSON uses a Mirus field effect detector cell, which produces a micro-electrical field that detects disruptions caused by water and fluids. When activated the sensor triggers a 100db piezo alarm and an LED light on the control panel. Electronic Float Switch / 20 A
OCEAN TECHNOLOGIES
This completely waterproof and fully automatic bilge switch works with no moving parts or mechanical switch contacts. It is installed in the positive connection line between the bilge pump and the battery. Built-in electronics measure conductivity between three corrosion-resistant stainless steel sensors and switch the pump on as soon as the liquid level reaches the upper sensor surface. The pump is switched off again with a time delay (after approx. 5 seconds) as soon as the liquid level falls below the lower sensor surface. The delay prevents false starts of the pump and the backflow of water that may still be in the hose to the outboard side. Suitable for all 12 or 24 V submersible pumps or bilge pumps with a maximum current consumption of 20 A (12 V) or 10 A (24 V). Supplied without fixing material. Note: The float switch should be installed so that the water level at the pump and switch is at the same level. The base of the switch must be higher, but never lower, than the base of the pump.
