NAVICO
This autopilot bundle from Navico consists of an AP44 control unit, an NAC-2 autopilot computer, a Precision 9 compass and a SteadySteer PUMP-2 hydraulic pump. The PUMP-2 is suitable for hydraulic cylinders with a volume of 80 - 250 cc. The advanced SteadySteer system allows boaters to seamless switch between manual and automatic autopilot control of the vessel. The system reengages the autopilot automatically once manual steering has stopped. Note: The SteadySteer hydraulic flow switch (itm.: 29248) is required to use the SteadySteer function. AP44 Controller The autopilot controller combines Simrad Continuum control technology with a full 4.1" colour screen, intuitive rotary-dial and keypad, and advanced glass helm styling, providing easy access to automated turning patterns, no-drift control, depth contour tracking, and other advanced pilot functions. An automatic compass calibration with the Precision-9 compass simplifies the autopilot setup for even more accurate heading accuracy, and you can also connect your Simrad chartplotter to the AP44 to add navigation via waypoints and routes. (See SVB item no. 81553). NAC-2 Autopilot Computer The NAC-2 autopilot computer is the centre of your Navico autopilot system. Through reflex control algorithms, the NAC-2 steers your yacht in various weather and sea conditions. Designed for boats up to ten metres (35 feet) in length, the NAC-2 is suitable for low-current hydraulic steering pumps, mechanical drive units, or solenoid valves, with a constant current of 8 amps (12 amps max.). In addition, the NAC-2 comes with an NMEA2000 interface for easy connection to course sensors and rudder feedback units. Simple plug and play installation. Input voltage: 12 - 24 volts. Precision-9 Compass The Precision-9 compass delivers accurate heading and rotation speed information to autopilots, radars and navigation systems via NMEA 2000®. The solid-state sensors continuously measure movement and course parameters via nine axes. In addition, the Precision-9 compass also provides information about heeling, rolling and pitching motions on compatible devices. An easily adjustable mounting bracket and connection via a single data cable allow installation on board almost every boat, including installation on the mast of boats with steel hulls.
